Code 11 refers to one dimensional
numeric only and distinct barcode symbology used for
encoding numbers (0-9), dash symbol (-) and start/stop
characters. Code 11 was developed in 1997 and created as
a high-density symbology consisting of 0-9 digits only.
Code 11 is also recognized as USD-8.
Code 11 barcode symbology implements the check digit and
do not require self checking.
Character set of Code 11 symbology
Code 11 barcode symbology has the
below mentioned character set:

Ten digits (0-9)

A dash symbol (-)
3.
Checksum digit (C, infrequently K)
Check digit C is used when the length of the encoded
message is less than 10 characters whereas Check digits
C and K are used when there is the implementation of
more than 10 characters in the encoded message.
