GS1 128 (Global Standard1 128)
formerly known as UCC/EAN 128, is an expansion of Code
128 barcode symbology. GS1 128 was initiated to provide
an international standard to transfer information
between diverse companies.
GS1-128 barcode symbology can also be
known with EAN/UCC-128, EAN-128, and UCC-128.
